Final Verdict

The Beoplay A1 and Beoplay P6 are not really competitors in the traditional sense.

They represent two different interpretations of portable audio.

The Beoplay A1 is about convenience. It is small, attractive, easy to carry and capable of producing a surprisingly sophisticated sound.

The Beoplay P6 is about scale. Its larger enclosure, dedicated woofer and more powerful amplification produce a fuller, deeper and more confident presentation.

If you put portability first, buy the A1.

If you put sound quality first, choose the P6.

But if you are buying either model used, do not overlook the battery.

Aging lithium-ion cells are one of the most common limitations of older portable electronics. When the speaker itself remains in good condition, Beoplay battery replacement can be a practical alternative to replacing an otherwise perfectly usable speaker.
